As luck would have it… I’ve managed to find an open wireless network that I could mooch wifi from long enough to quickly say my piece on Michel Jackson.

He was far and away the biggest pop icon of my youth….  I have vivid memories of watching his videos and buying his records as a child.  To this day, I occasionally throw on “Off the Wall” for occasional listens.

I recall wanting to be Zombie Jackson for Halloween one year from the Thriller video…  When I got word of his passing last night – I honestly couldn’t believe it.  He may be the last artist to have released an album that an entire world picked up in unison.

That said… his decent was really strange.  Not only the transformation of his face… but the accusations of him having bear suits with crotches missing.

I just had a conversation with Fin the other day about big music artists dying in the 90′s.  I commented that I couldn’t think of a large music icon dying this decade and I was pretty happy about that.  What are the chances that M.J. drops dead a day or two after I say that out loud?

I honestly can’t remember the last time I sat down to properly pen an entry for the blog… A lot has happened since my last post.  New job, new house… new pets, newness is all around me actually.

Lots of updates to come in the coming days.  There’s even talk of internet/cable finally coming to my block this week.
