With Fin entertaining guests downstairs, I’m getting to brush my teeth and watching Game 6 of the OKC/Lakers game.
The poster in the background is one of our latest Jay Ryan additions. We’ve had it framed for a while but we haven’t put it up for some reason.
Jaime is back in town for a single night… we made it down to J. Alexander’s for some burgers and fries.
I wish I could describe how much I want this work day to end…. this work week has been mentally exhausting. I still need to figure out my Thursday, which will be freakishly action packed.

i had originally wanted to come home and post a story about something i experienced today at work… without having to go into a lot of detail, i called fin up late in the afternoon to let her know that i need to seek out gym membership so that I could get serious about getting healthy.
by the time the work day ended, all i wanted to do was crawl under the covers after dinner and turn off all the lights in the house.
spent a good part of the evening getting affection from every pet… some were more responsive than others.
I don’t know if you know this, but the City of New Braunfels has some of the longest Red Lights that I have ever come across. They’re so bad that I have 2 lights I have to sit through before I get to work and I actually plan to do stuff in my car for those 6 or so minutes of my morning or lunch time.
Today I set my camera to go off ever 20 seconds. Took this photo while stretching and looking into the rear view mirror. It’s weird how after all these months, i can sorta forget I’m taking photos of myself within minutes.
Fin asked me something today that I sorta had a hard time answering… she asked something to the effect of why I had to do extra work at home after putting in a full day at the office.
I didn’t really have an answer… outside of the fact that occasionally, a work day may require some work to spill over into my personal time.
I really shouldn’t complain tho’… I have a pair of co-workers who have been pulling 7 day weeks for nearly a month and there’s no end in sight for them in the near future.
Thankfully, I just got outfitted with a new PC laptop, so that I could work easier remotely.
With talk of a new couch in the near future, Fin recently stopped by local place and picked up a set of throw pillows I’ve been wanting to have for a very long time. They’re freakishly fluffy and fun to run your fingers thru.
Watching the Wings and Coyotes play game 5 of their playoff series tonight… Like the Wings right now… I too am in the penalty box.
I was supposed to attend a dinner tonight with Fin and her mom at a place called Silo…. As we got closer to dinner time, I began to talk myself out of wanting to go.
The reasons I had for not wanting to go weren’t communicated very well to Fin and I’m pretty sure that she doesn’t really care to know.
I wish my head didn’t hurt as much as it does right now… at least the Wings are winning.
Got busted playing with my camera at the local Geeks Who Drink tonight…. We haven’t been to a quiz night in a really long time, but I was happy to see that it’s now also being played on Thursday nights.
What sucks however is that my favorite Quizmaster will be hanging up the mic in 2 weeks, to reclaim her Tuesday’s and Thursday nights.
Jaime made it down to San Antonio tonight… he’s going to be spending a week in the valley, but will be flying in and out of our fair city, which means I’ll get to hang with him a few nights in the coming weeks….
